Essence of Self is a photographic portrait series centred on layering the individual with their artwork and practice. Bringing the subject to the forefront, it explores themes of identity and self-expression, while showcasing the essence of the creative personalities within each image. Utilizing analog and digital techniques, Paige gets to know each of her subjects before and during the shoot in order to ensure that there are details throughout the portrait that truly show the essence of who they are, along with the art form they practice.
