Nicole Kwon is a Toronto-based photographer interested in food, studio product, and still life imagery. Asian Supermarket is a series influenced by the culture of Asian grocery stores. The series challenges the viewer by focusing on select items and photographing them in a contemporary and unexpected way and in contrast to how “Asian” is typicallystereotyped in society.
